We offer affordable therapy in Florida

What We Ask of Our Clients

To make the most of your therapy experience and support our student therapists in completing their clinical hours, we ask that clients:

  • Commit to at least 6 sessions.

  • Choose a session fee between $30–$50 starting with session 4.

  • Pay a $50 deposit, which will be applied to your 4th and 5th sessions (otherwise, it is forfeited).

  • Reside in Florida during all therapy sessions. Please confirm that you are, and will remain, in Florida throughout your sessions.

These policies help ensure consistency in care while supporting our student therapists as they gain the hours needed for licensure.

This long-standing advocacy ultimately led her to pursue a career in the mental health field.

As a second-career therapist, Nicolette brings maturity, lived experience, and a strong understanding of complex systems into her clinical work. She approaches therapy from a systemic, trauma-informed perspective and works collaboratively to create a safe, supportive space where individuals, couples, and families can explore challenges, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful change.

  • Yes! We see a lot of our clients virtually. We also offer in person sessions at our office in Largo.

  • In the beginning, we typically recommend weekly, or biweekly sessions, depending on your goals and needs.

As you start to see improvements, or your goals for therapy change, we encourage you to discuss the frequency of your sessions with your therapist in order to create a plan that best fits your evolving needs.

  • It is normal to sometimes feel stuck in therapy, or feel like you are not making the progress you want to see. We encourage you to discuss these feelings with your therapist. Together, you can revise your goals and treatment plan to see where changes can be made to better support your growth.

We value your perspectives, goals and needs and want to make sure we are providing you with the support you need to get the most out of your sessions!

  • Depending on your needs and goals as a client we can provide you with worksheets to do between sessions. We may also teach you new skills to practice between sessions, which can be helpful when navigating real time emotions.

If you would like worksheets, or are interested in learning new coping skills, bring it up to your therapist when you meet. Together you can figure out what this will look like to ensure you feel supported between sessions.

  • It is completely normal, and very common, to not always know what to talk about in session. You don’t need to have the “right” topic, a clear goal or a polished story to start therapy. Your therapist can help guide the conversation and gently explore what’s coming up for you.

If you are unsure of how to start, or what to talk about, consider these topics:

    • What made you decide to reach out?

    • What is something that’s been weighing on you lately?

    • What are some patterns you’ve noticed (stress, anxiety, relationships, etc.)?

    • Explore the feelings that come with not knowing what to talk about.
