 Let’s talk.
Hey, I am Jennifer.
I am a licensed mental health counselor and the owner of Therapy for Cycle Breakers.
At Therapy for Cycle Breakers, we’re not just therapists—we’re cycle breakers too. We know the emotional labor, the quiet weight of holding space for others, and the deep desire to do our own inner work while helping others do theirs.
We offer therapy for therapists—because we believe healers need healing, too. Whether you're feeling the toll of compassion fatigue, navigating personal or professional transitions, or simply craving a safe space to process your stuff, we’re here for you.
Our team of holistic, trauma-informed therapists understands the unique challenges of the helping profession. You don’t have to explain what it means to “hold space” or why boundaries are hard—we get it, because we’ve been there too.

Clinical experience and training:
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, former owner of The Brave Life Therapy, host of Breaking Cycles podcast, Business Coach & the founder Therapy for Cycle Breakers.
As member of the queer community, it was important to create a affirming therapy practice for not only the LGBTQ+ population but by being a safe place for all individuals.
Born and raised on the East Coast, I’m not your typical therapist — and that’s intentional. I lean casual over clinical because I believe therapy should feel real and human, focusing less on labels and symptoms and more on you as a whole person.
My style is down-to-earth, personable, and often sprinkled with humor. This journey of healing is brave and challenging, and I’ve found that not taking ourselves too seriously can be a powerful part of the process. I show up in therapy with a direct, compassionate, and creative approach. Together, we might use art, meaningful homework, the occasional well-placed swear word, plenty of laughter, and probably a few tears — all of which are part of the deeper, long-term healing work.

If you care about all that clinical stuff :) I graduated from Capella University in 2012. I have worked in a variety of settings from juvenile probation to being the director of a women’s DV shelter. I have had two private practice-The Brave Life Therapy in Indianapolis selling that in 2024 to move to Florida. My therapy approach, drawing from several theoretical orientations, is client-centered. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Certified through Arizona Institute on Trauma and additional trainings in IFS, family systems and attachment work. I focus on strength based on the belief that every individual is unique and one treatment does not fit all.
I am a trained practitioner in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, long hikes, table top board games and spending time with my partner and our 4 dogs, YES 4- Macchiato, Ruggles, Bagel and our newest pup, Monon. My spouse and I are foster and adoptee parents to kids who might other wise age out.
