Therapy in Madison, Wisconsin: Support for Cycle Breakers

Are your relationships leaving you drained? Do you find yourself constantly saying yes to others while quietly putting your own needs last? Maybe you're a parent running on empty, wishing for deeper connection with your children—but unsure how to get there.

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone. Life can feel overwhelming when you’re carrying the weight of old patterns, unhealed wounds, and the pressure to be everything for everyone. The good news? You don’t have to carry it alone.

As a therapist and fellow cycle breaker, I provide a compassionate space where you can explore your story, release what no longer serves you, and begin to rewrite your path. My clients often come into therapy feeling stuck, anxious, or emotionally exhausted—but through our work, they begin to feel more grounded, emotionally resilient, and aligned with the life they want to create.

Together, we’ll focus on healing your inner world, setting boundaries, and working through generational patterns or past trauma that are holding you back. You deserve to feel whole, empowered, and connected—to yourself and the people you love.

Let’s begin your healing journey, one step at a time.

We are an inclusive and affirming therapy practice. We welcome diversity including all body sizes, abilities, races, sexualities, genders, religions and political values.

Welcome to Therapy for Cycle Breakers – Serving All of Wisconsin Virtually

Hi, I’m Jennifer—licensed mental health counselor and founder of Therapy for Cycle Breakers. We’re a Wisconsin-based virtual group practice dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults heal, grow, and break free from painful patterns.

Our team of holistic, trauma-informed therapists is passionate about supporting individuals and families who are ready to create real change. We specialize in helping clients work through generational trauma, emotional wounds, and relationship struggles—because we’ve been there too. Many of us are cycle breakers ourselves, and we know how challenging (and brave) this path can be.

You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your whole family, we’re here to walk alongside you with care and compassion.

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy

One of the special aspects of ART is that when clients replace their negative images with positive ones they don’t need to talk to the therapist about any details of the trauma. This is because ART is procedural, though creative; and the client is really in control of the process, while the ART Therapist is a helpful guide. This makes the therapy easier on the client and easier on the therapist.

  • Therapy for LGBTQIA

Our team is highly trained working with the complexities of the LGBTQ+ community.

  • Adolescent Therapy

We offer therapy for teenagers ages 12-18. We believe therapy for this teenagers is essentially the opportunity for a teens to discuss feelings with one person who is trained to listen and treat symptoms of emotional distress, school stress, mood disorders and much more. In therapy teens can learn to manage their moods. If your teen has been struggling, a therapist can work with your child on specific mood managing techniques where medication might fall short.

  • Therapy for Therapists

We offer therapy for therapists—because we believe healers need healing, too. Whether you're feeling the toll of compassion fatigue, navigating personal or professional transitions, or simply craving a safe space to process your stuff, we’re here for you.
