I believe one of the most meaningful parts of therapy is helping people become who they are, not who they think they have to be.
Growing up isn’t easy, especially when you’re navigating expectations from family, culture, school, social media, or even yourself. If you’ve been struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, identity, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, therapy can be a place to slow down, better understand yourself, and begin building confidence from the inside out.
As a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student, I enjoy working with teens and young adults who are learning to trust their own voice, set healthy boundaries, and develop a stronger sense of self. I have a special passion for supporting African-American girls and young adults, as well as clients from BIPOC communities, by providing a warm, culturally responsive space where they feel seen, heard, and understood.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in curiosity rather than judgment. I don’t believe you’re “broken” or need to become someone else. I believe growth happens when you have the space to explore your experiences, recognize your strengths, and move toward a life that feels authentic to you.
Tichelle brings a diverse background to her work, including experience as an ABA therapist, hospice counseling intern, K–8 tutor, and marketing associate. These experiences have helped her develop a unique ability to connect with clients from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.
She knows this work isn't always easy, but you don't have to do it alone.
Fun things about Tichelle:
Enjoys: playing The Sims, writing, exploring astrology, spending time in nature, and laughing with the people she loves.
Values: authenticity, curiosity, personal growth, and treating people with compassion.
Favorite ways to recharge: quiet time by herself, binge-watching YouTube, journaling, practicing yoga, and soaking up some sunshine.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. If you’re curious about working with Tichelle, contact us to ask questions or schedule an initial appointment.

In the beginning, we typically recommend weekly, or biweekly sessions, depending on your goals and needs.
As you start to see improvements, or your goals for therapy change, we encourage you to discuss the frequency of your sessions with your therapist in order to create a plan that best fits your evolving needs.

It is completely normal, and very common, to not always know what to talk about in session. You don’t need to have the “right” topic, a clear goal or a polished story to start therapy. Your therapist can help guide the conversation and gently explore what’s coming up for you.
If you are unsure of how to start, or what to talk about, consider these topics:
What made you decide to reach out?
What is something that’s been weighing on you lately?
What are some patterns you’ve noticed (stress, anxiety, relationships, etc.)?
Explore the feelings that come with not knowing what to talk about.
