Meet Shannon McCarthy, RMHCI
Shannon is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern who earned her Master of Science in Counselor Education from Stetson University. Shannon brings lots of experience working with adults and their families at Community mental health settings. During her internships, she developed a deep appreciation for the courage it takes individuals to seek support with their difficulties in life.
Shannon works with older teenagers and adults as well as family therapist. She is especially passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating grief, pregnancy loss, infertility, major life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, blended family dynamics, divorce, and breakups. She understands that loss can take many forms, and that grief is unique to each individual.
Simply she believes that healing begins with having a space where you truly feel seen and understood.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, drawing from mindfulness, parts work, emotionally focused therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Shannon strives to create a supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, process difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with themselves with compassion and confidence.
Whether you're grieving a loss, navigating changes in your relationships, struggling with anxiety, or trying to make sense of a new chapter in your life, Shannon believes you don't have to carry it alone.
